Both books are complete, but rebound in a contemporary half leather and marbled paper. Raised bands and gilding to the spine. New end papers to each book and new map pocket in the main volume. Although complete, both volumes have slight shelf wear to the boards on the opening top and bottom corners, this is minimal, both have tight blocks with some discoloration but are very good for being over 120 years old, the books do have faults which I list below for a full description please ask.

Limited edition prints — Artists proof
The special edition book comes with two signed and numbered prints limited to 200 copies of each. The drawings by Malc Baxter of Ben Nevis and Clogwyn Du’r Arddu are reproduced double page spread on the end papers of all editions of the book. The prints supplied with the limited edition are 300m × 200mm (overall size).
In addition we have for sale a larger ‘artist proof’, limited to 15 copies of each drawing. These are 420mm × 295mm and will only be available as a pair.
