From the introduction: ‘There are many examples of crags described in guidebooks where climbing has subsequently been banned. However we believe this is the first to be published at a time when no climbing is permitted on routes described within its covers. In addition, no guide has ever been produced with a line drawing wrapped across its cover and two flaps which makes this booklet, unique. And of great note, the cover drawing celebrates a career illustrating guidebooks which spans some fifty nine years by the artist and climber Malc Baxter. The authors are passionate about keeping pen and ink alive, in this digital age a romantic gesture that celebrates a very special craft. The topo by Nigel Baker has been printed A3 in size and is possibly the largest reproduction ever to be included in a guidebook. All drawings in this booklet were produced on a bespoke basis and we hope you agree that their inclusion and quality is very special indeed.’
